Pixel Health is proud to announce that the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) has selected Barbara Casey as a recipient of the Most Influential Women in Health IT Award. The award celebrates influential women who harness the power of information and technology to transform health and healthcare.
Barbara is passionate about helping health systems use technology to:
- Transform the way consumers, patients, and their families access and experience healthcare,
- Improve the ease of practice for clinicians and care givers, and
- Drive operational efficiencies and effectiveness in the process.
“Patients and clinicians shouldn’t be bound by technology. They should be freed by it. At Pixel Health, we play a pivotal role helping health systems envision bold digital health strategies, select and apply the proper technologies, and integrate them into the fabric of the healthcare delivery process for the benefit of all involved users and stakeholders,” said Barbara. “Our goal is to enable hospitals to change the way they communicate with their patients and improve the lives of their clinical staff by letting technology work for them, and not the other way around.”
Barbara is an accomplished strategist and business advisor with over three decades of diversified health care, managed care, insurance, and management consulting experience. As Chief Revenue Officer at Pixel Health, Barbara leads organizational strategy, marketing, sales, and customer success. Prior, as the Global Healthcare Leader for Cisco, her team worked with clients and partners across the globe to expand and enhance digital transformation in healthcare. While there, Barbara drove co-development of the INFRAM model with HIMSS Analytics, creating a critical tool to help healthcare organizations understand what levels of infrastructure they need in to achieve higher-order business and clinical capabilities.
Prior to joining Cisco, Barbara led several corporate strategic planning efforts at HCA, Inc. where she facilitated the company’s broad Consumer and Patient Experience strategy and served as the strategy and planning leader to the Central Group (55 hospitals in the Central US and 6 hospitals in London) and its divisions’ senior management teams.
Barbara will be recognized during the 2022 HIMSS Global Conference & Exhibition, March 14-18 in Orlando, FL. Please join us in congratulating her on this great honor!
